Definition

A restoration that covers the entire visible part of a damaged tooth. Used after root canals, large fractures, and significant decay.

Crowns are made from zirconia (strongest), E.max ceramic (most aesthetic), or PFM (older). Requires about 1.5 mm of tooth reduction. Typical lifespan 15–20 years. Costs AED 2,500–6,000 in Dubai.
