Definition
When upper front teeth vertically overlap lower teeth. Normal is 20% coverage; deep bite is 40%+ coverage.

Mild overbite is normal and healthy. Severe (deep) overbite causes lower tooth wear, TMJ strain, and aesthetic concerns. Treated with orthodontics using bite ramps or turbos to open the bite gradually.
