What happens

Prevention
- No milk, juice, or sweet drinks in bedtime bottle
- Water only in the bottle at night
- Stop bottle by 15–18 months
- Wipe teeth after feeding
- Brush before bed
Signs
- White spots near gumline
- Brown discoloration
- Holes in baby teeth
- Pain on eating
Treatment if it happens
- Fluoride treatment (early)
- Fillings
- Stainless steel crowns for severe cases
- Extraction as last resort
