A thin shell bonded to the front of a tooth to change its appearance. Made of porcelain or composite resin.
In detail
Porcelain lasts 12–20 years and resists staining. Composite lasts 5–10 years and is less expensive. Both can change tooth colour, shape, length, and close small gaps. Typically applied to front 6–8 teeth.
