An implant that receives a temporary crown on the same day of surgery, rather than waiting 3–4 months.

Possible when the implant has strong primary stability at placement (35+ Ncm torque). Patient leaves with working teeth immediately. Not suitable for all cases — soft bone or heavy grinders usually need conventional delayed loading.
