Tooth Eruption

Definition

The process of teeth emerging through the gums. Happens in childhood (baby teeth and permanent teeth) and with wisdom teeth.

In detail

Baby teeth erupt 6 months to 3 years. Permanent teeth erupt 6–13 years. Wisdom teeth 17–25 years. Delayed or abnormal eruption may indicate genetic or systemic issues. X-rays can track eruption progress.
