Dr. Ahmed Al-Rashid

Medical Director

What it is

A small temporary cap screwed onto the implant while bone heals around it and gum shapes.

Duration

  • Immediate loading: sometimes attached crown same day
  • Conventional healing: 2–4 weeks with healing cap

Care

  • Gentle brushing around it
  • Salt-water rinses
  • Avoid rubbing with toothpicks or floss
  • Report any looseness

When it comes off

Contact your dentist — usually can be replaced in minutes.
